Due to the continued success of our County Championships, and the time pressures this puts on the event, we are again moving some events to other days. These will be the same track events that were moved last year (adjusted for the age group changes), plus all the Triple Jump events. We appreciate that these moves aren't ideal for everyone however in order to run a safe and effective Championships we have chosen events that affect the least number of athletes, whilst freeing up the most time.
The following events will be held on the days below - all other events will be held at the main T&F Champs on 9/10 May.

SURREY INDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
DWLC, CARSHALTON, SATURDAY/SUNDAY 14TH/15TH MARCH 2026
As the event is so close to the age group changes that come into effect on 1st April, the county has decided that these Championships will use the new age groups since it is likely that training will already have commenced using new hurdle heights / implement weights.
Due to the popularity of the event, this year the Championships will be Surrey only in order to prevent the significant time overruns we have seen in recent years.
Events on offer will be:
U14's - 60m, 60m Hurdles and LJ
U16's - 60m, 60m Hurdles, LJ, TJ, HJ, SP, PV
U18's - 60m, 60m Hurdles, LJ, TJ, HJ, SP, PV
U20's - 60m, 60m Hurdles, LJ, TJ, HJ, SP, PV
Seniors - 60m, 60m Hurdles, LJ, TJ, HJ, SP, PV
We have completed the 2025 Surrey Rankings. We thank our volunteers Jess Wilson, Nicola Firth, Ashley Burridge, Marcus Hake & Keith Burchell for keeping the listings up to date throughout the season.
It is interesting to note that for the U13 & U15 Boys the number of athletes are significantly lower than pre-Covid numbers whereas in the other 4 age groups the numbers have recovered.

SURREY COUNTY ATHLETICS HISTORICAL INFORMATION - CAN YOU HELP?
Keith Burchell currently holds the archives for the Surrey County AAA and Surrey County WAAA. These are far from being complete. If you have any past information such as programmes, committee minutes, championship results etc that you are thinking of disposing then please contact Keith Burchell. In particular, sets of County Championship results prior to 1980 are sought.
RESPECT TO OUR TEAM MANAGERS
Surrey County Athletic Association does not accept or condone the use of offensive behaviour towards or abuse or bullying of team managers under any circumstances. Team managers are all volunteers and make their decisions on the basis of information available to them. While not everyone is likely to agree with all of their decisions they must respect them and all the hours of work and agonising that go into the difficult task these team managers carry out in the interests of encouraging athletics in the county.
CARDIAC RISK IN THE YOUNG
England Athletics is publicising this charity.
CRY is a charity that was established to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to the sudden cardiac death of young people. They operate a screening programme at a number of clinics around the UK and support this with mobile units that travel to other locations.
Full information about CRY and their services can be found on their website at www.c-r-y.org.uk. Young people between the age of 14 and 35 who would like to have cardiac testing can go to www.testmyheart.org.
You can also see www.uka.org.uk/governance/health-safety/cardiac-screening-for-athletes/ for information on work being done by UKA in this area.
