FROM ACTIVE SURREY SPORTS PARTNERSHIP Added 18 April 2008 Extending Activities Applications now open! Dear Colleague, At the beginning of this month the Active Surrey Sports Partnership announced a new fund for local organisations, clubs, schools, etc, to deliver approximately 100 new sport and activity projects per school term for young people aged 5 - 19 years old. Each project is to consist of 10 weeks of sport and activity and look for an exit route into community sport for the participants. Surrey has been allocated £98,700 to engage 2,592 semi sporty young people by March 2009. A further £292,200 will be available in Year 2 & 3 to support another 8,892 young people participate in more sport. Please find attached informations and applications for organisations that want to apply to be part of the Surrey Extending Activities programme.
